The All Blacks selectors have made ten changes to the starting side from Sunday's victory over England, a decision that was widely anticipated.

Coach Graham Henry says it is important to have fresh legs for the match against the strongest team in the Northern Hemisphere.

He says playing in Lyon on Armistice Day will bring the best out of the French which will be a significant challenge for the team.

The reserves will be named later in the week, pending a decision on the fitness of prop Neemia Tialata. First five-eighth Nick Evans was not considered for selection due to injury.

The team is: Leon MacDonald, Josevata Rokocoko, Conrad Smith, Luke McAlister, Sitiveni Sivivatu, Dan Carter, Piri Weepu, Rodney So'oialo, Richie McCaw (c), Jerry Collins, Ali Williams, James Ryan, Carl Hayman, Anton Oliver
