Samoa's Minister of Police says he is still awaiting the outcome of an Attorney General's investigation into a car crash which allegedly involved the police commissioner a month ago.

Tole'afoa Apulu Fa'afisi says that once the Attorney General, Brenda Heather Latu hands him the results of her investigation then he will be able to release further information about the accident.

Tole'afoa insists that no one is above the law and the commissioner could face criminal charges depending on the inquirys findings.

The police commissioner, Papali'i Lorenese Neru, returned to his normal duties last week.

Meanwhile police have stopped looking for a taxi which the commissioner had accused of being the cause of the accident.
