Polynesian Blue Airlines - the joint venture between Virgin Blue Airlines and the Government of Samoa - has been selected as the 'New Airline of the Year' at the 2006 Asia Pacific Aviation Awards for Excellence.
The Awards recognise the top performers in the areas of innovation, influence and strategic leadership.
The airline began operating flights from Australia and New Zealand to Apia in October last year.
