Pacific Sun the new wholly-owned subsidiary set up by Fiji's Air Pacific, is expected to begin regional services by next month.

Air Pacific's managing director, John Campbell, says they are in negotiation to buy out the domestic airline, SUN AIR, following an Appeal Court ruling allowing them to operate domestic as well as regional services.

He says the first regional services will be to Vanuatu, Tuvalu and Tonga with other destinations to be added late.

Air Pacific has bought 2 French-built ATR 42 aircraft to operate the regional services as well to larger airports within Fiji.
