The matter of a circus master from Samoa flying the Samoa flag in American Samoa has been resolved.

Police reportedly told the circus master, Tupai Bruno Royale, to take down the Samoan flag from his tents.

But the circus master said there is no law to prevent him from flying his national flag.

American Samoa's acting attorney general Frederick Obrien says they eventually reached a compromise.

"Bruno's circus is now flying two American flags at a very high level, and at a lower level, the samoa flag, so the government's pleased with that, there's no more issue, no more dispute."
