American Samoa's Governor Togiola Tulafono has vowed to keep the government aircraft, Segaula, flying.

This follows the pilot and mechanic for the aircraft Michael Tennant resigning two weeks ago.

The governor said a new person will be hired and the plane will continue flying.

The purchase of the Britten Norman Islander has attracted a lot of criticism of the administration, particularly from the Senate.
