The Solomon Islands Police Force is concerned about the increasing number of burglaries in Honiara city.

Businesses and houses have been targeted and a range of goods have been stolen.

Police are encouraging all businesses to assess their premises to ensure appropriate security measures are in place.

The Acting Assistant Commissioner, Edmond Sikua, says businesses and the general community need to make sure that security measures are taken to stop criminals from entering premises and stealing property.
