Three men have died instantly in a collision in Samoa involving a private car and a government vehicle.

Police say investigations are being carried out into the cause of the accident.

Both drivers are among the dead.

A police source has said most car accidents this year have been alcohol-related.

Next month, parliament is expected to pass into law the Police Powers bill which will allow the use of breathalyzers to check whether drivers are drunk.
