Discussions between American Samoa governor Togiola Tulafono and an Australian government official has focused on investment for the territory.

Michael Drew from the Australian High Commission in Samoa visited American Samoa this week.

Mr Drew said Australia and the US has a Free Trade agreement.

He said any advantage of doing business in the territory would have to be explored.

Mr Drew indicated that perhaps there was room for other countries like American Samoa to offer alternative holiday spots.
