The former Papua New Guinea international and Bradford Bulls winger Marcus Bai has retired from rugby league.

The 34 year old who made his name playing for the Melbourne Storm in the National Rugby League would have been the oldest player in Super League.

Bai scored two tries on his Bulls debut against Wests Tigers, when he won a third World Club Challenge medal with a third club following successes with the Storm and Leeds.

He made 26 appearances for the Bulls and scored 12 tries.

Bradford coach Steve McNamara described Bai's departure as a blow.
