Samoa's Supreme Court has dismissed one count of theft as a servant against the former chief executive officer of the government's Airport Authority and independent MP, Lealailepule Rimoni Aiafi.
The chief justice, Patu Falefatu Sapolu, says the reasons behind his ruling will be delivered at a later date.
The former CEO was charged following an investigation by the auditor's office into allegations of missing funds of about 16,000 US dollars.
Last week, Lealailepule admitted that he had borrowed the money to buy a vehicle, but he had paid it back in 2003.
Two other charges of falsifying accounts were dismissed because of lack of evidence.
