Tonga's King highlights importance of helping riot victims

Tonga's King has highlighted the importance of helping those adversely affected by the November 16th riots.

George Tupou The Fifth used his first Christmas and New Year message to the nation to urge people to help those who have been displaced and victimised by the event.

The king also acknowledged those who helped their neighbours, families and friends during the riots.

His Majesty also thanked Tongans round the world who have offered help to those

disadvantaged by the destruction of November 16th, as well as businessmen who are cooperating with the government in the redevelopment of Nuku'alofa.
