Eight of nine people - including three children - are still missing at sea, after a boating accident on Papua New Guinea's Madang coast.
Only one person was rescued by a passing vessel and taken to a nearby health centre.
A worker at the health centre confirmed the person had survived by clinging onto a fuel tank.
The Post Courier newspaper reports the nine were on a motorised dinghy overloaded with store goods when the boat capsized on Friday.
The search continues for the remaining eight passengers.
