Former All Blacks captain Tana Umaga is returning to New Zealand to link up with the Hurricanes after his nine-game spell with Toulon.
33-year-old Umaga helped the French Division Two side to eight wins in nine games, lifting them from ninth to third place.
Umaga, who won 74 caps for the All Blacks, was paid a reported 600 thousand dollars for his two-month contract.
Umaga says it's been a great time in his life to play rugby there and enjoy the French culture and Toulon people.
He says he's sad to be going home but New Zealand is home for him.
