Close to thirty staff including reporters, producers, and technicians of LAU-TV station in Samoa are back at work this week.

The 28 member staff was told in early December last year to take two weeks holiday following reports that the ten year old commercial television station was having financial problems.

But LAU-TV founder and chief executive officer, Tuiasau Leota Uelese Petaia, had denied the station is facing financial difficulties.

The CEO has blamed a technical fault with an on air computer as the reason behind his decision to put his staff on holiday with pay.
