Fiji's military appointed interim administration plans to remove racially discriminatory education polices put in place by the previous Rabuka and Qarase governments.
The interim education minister, Netani Sukanaivalu, says it is a fact that there is racial discrimination in his ministry.
Mr Sukanaivalu told Fiji TV last night that he will be meeting with his ministry officials today to review and reverse the current education policies.
The minister will also review the current intake policy at the Fiji College of Advanced Education near Suva which reserves 60% of all places for indigenous Fijians and 40% for all other races.
Mr Sukanaivalu says the new interim government believes in a fair distribution of educational opportunities.
