New Zealand netball coach had no problems with playing in Fiji

The New Zealand netball coach Ruth Aitken says she had no concerns about playing the world champs in Fiji despite the sport's governing body stripping the them of the competition in the wake of the military coup.

New Zealand was awarded the tournament late last year and last week Auckland was named as the host city ahead of Christchurch, for the week long event in mid November.

Aitken says the change of country though certainly makes things more straightforward for the Silver Ferns but she have happily played in Suva.

"We certainly would have a lot of our planning had been around ensuring that we prepared well for that environment. But I think there are certainly a lot of challenges of playing in an environment like Fiji so you know for us to be able to play in our normal environment here will be a real bonus."
