Solomon Islands Foreign Affairs minister Patteson Oti says the appointment of Julian Moti as attorney general remains suspended pending a visit to Canberra by the acting attorney general, Nuatali Tongarutu.

Mr Oti says Moti is still being suspended by the Public Service Commission pending the outcome of another case being investigated by Australian police.

He says the acting attorney general will go to Canberra to sort out the legal and technical issues with her counterpart in Australia and the director of Public Prosecutions.
