The Solomons Island's Prime Minister, Manasseh Sogavere, is to face a second motion of no confidence since taking office 10-months ago.
The Speaker of Parliament, Sir Peter Kenilorea, confirmed receiving notice from the Opposition late on Friday afternoon.
Mr Sogavare's one time deputy, William Haomae, will table the motion, most probably this Friday.
The Prime Minister comfortably survived a no-confidence vote in October,
The Opposition group will be banking on the influences of party leaders who were sacked or have resigned from the Sogavare government such as his former Deputy Prime Minister, Job Duddley Tausinga, Francis Billy Hilly, Trevor Olovae and Batholomew Ulufa'alu.
