Residents in five American Samoa villages told to boil drinking water

Residents in five villages in America Samoa have been advised to boil their drinking water.

The advice follows a routine water check earlier this month which found potentially harmful bacteria in the water.

The American Samoa Environmental Protection Agency says Fagamalo, Fagalii, Vatia, Afono and Onenoa, which are not connected to the government water system, are all affected.
