12 million dollars to Oceania Football Confederation for Oceania communities

The Oceania Football Confederation General Secretary Tai Nicholas has welcomed the 12 million US dollar injection into OFC for the next four years.

He says the money will be used for a wide range of programmes which include youth development.

Nicholas says they will also now be able to increase television coverage and train more people and coaches, and develop club football.

"We're also going to a hire a sports medical officer, and her job, and it's going to be a doctor from Tonga, and her job is go throughout the Oceania region, and help promote health prevention messages and work with NGO's, and use football to do this, so as you can see the money is to be used so we can help our community within the Oceania region."
