Samoa's associate Minister of Commerce, Industry and Labour, Hans Joachim Keil, has warned hotel operators and people marketing Samoa not to mislead in their promotional efforts.

He told a tourism workshop that tourists have complained about misinformation contained in brochures for local hotels.

Mr Keil, a former Minister of Tourism, told the Samoa Observer, that this was an area that hotels needed to be very careful about.

He said word of mouth was very fast and coupled with the use of the internet, unsatisfied tourists could prevent others travelling to Samoa if such issues are not addressed.
