The Samoan government yesterday announced a half day holiday to honor Manu Samoa's winning of the Hong Kong sevens last week-end.

The Prime Minister and chairman of the national rugby union, Tuila'epa Sa'ilele Malielegaoi, told the team before they left it would receive half of the prize money if they won.

It means the team, including officials, will get 50 thousand US Dollars.

The Prime Minister has credited the country's High Performance Unit, set up with International Rugby Board assistance, for enhancing the player's fitness.
