The director of the Silvania Logging Company in Solomon Islands, Joseph Wong has been denied bail and remains in police custody until another court hearing next week.
The SIBC reports Mr Wong has been charged with two counts of inciting to commit murder and two counts to incite grievous bodily harm.
The court heard that Mr Wong had paid East Honiara MP, Charles Dausabea, 2,000 U.S. dollars and promised 28,000 dollars if he carried out an order to kill two people and bash up another two people from another logging company, Crest Pacific.
However, Mr Dausabea turned the money over to police, and Mr Wong was arrested.
