Help for the earthquake-tsunami stricken areas of Solomon Islands continue to flow in from organizations and individuals in the forms of cash and materials.

Yesterday, the Chairman of Fataleka Constituency Committee made a cash donation of twenty thousand Solomon Islands dollars towards the disaster relief fund.

Vulavu village at Lambi on Guadalcanal donated one thousand dollars while Daniel Aswin from Longapolo community in Central Province donated $500 collected by the community.

In Honiara a fundraising held at White River by the Renbel province resulted in a donation yesterday of $11,254 dollars.

Some organizations are pledging their donations in kind.

Students and Solomon Islanders living in Port Moresby have prepared a container of clothing and other items to be shipped over to Solomon Islands.

Solomon Islands High Commissioner to PNG Bernard Bata'anisia said that the container would be shipped to Honiara as soon as funding was secured for freighting.

He said students could not afford to freight the container to Honiara.
