Fijian Holdings pays $1.25 million US in dividends

The largest indigenous Fijian company Fijian Holdings, has paid an interim dividend of 1-point-25 million US dollars for the six months ending on December 31 last year.

The group's general manager Sitiveni Weileilakeba, says the dividend of 6-US cents per A-class share and half that for B-class share is the same as that for the same period in the previous financial year.

Fijian Holdings, whose shares are sold only to indigenous Fijians, was set up with a government grant of 12-million US dollars and now has assets in excess of 120-million US dollars.

It has announced plans to expand into Australia, New Zealand and Pacific island countries.
