Body of American Samoan soldier killed in Iraq arrives home

The body of an American Samoan soldier Sargeant Raymond Sevaaetasi killed in Iraq has arrived home.

The 29 year-old was killed in Baghdad last month when his vehicle struck an improvised explosive device.

Officials and family were at the airport in Pago Pago.

A prayer service was later held at the US Army Reserve Captain Fouvale Asiata spoke on behalf of the military, quoting General Douglas MacArthur.

"However horrible the incidents of war may be, giving your life for your country is the noblest development of human kind. And you have done just that, my brother. You have performed what the noblest soldiers can render for his country and his people."
