Netball New Zealand's new Chief Executive says she's always wanted to use her commercial expertise in sports administration.

Raelene Castle says it's an exciting time with the world championships in Auckland and a new professional trans-Tasman competition next year that will enable some players to make a full-time living.

Raelene Castle takes over next month -- she's head of Business Marketing for Telecom and has extensive event management and sponsorship experience in rugby, the Olympics and the America's Cup.
