The body of Samoa's late Head of State, Malietoa Tanumafili II, will be taken from a privately owned funeral parlor this afternoon to his residence at Fa'ato'ialemanu for the beginning of his final services.

Hundreds of the late Head of State's extended family members including his closest relatives and children are expected to attend tonight's special family service.

The service will allow family members to pay their last respects before his body is taken to Parliament where he will lie in state for 24 hours ahead of his burial service on Friday Samoa time.
