Solomons government appoints Special Envoy to RAMSI

Solomon Islands Government Special Envoy to RAMSI, Michael Maina will officially take up the job tomorrow following his swearing into office.

Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare has emphasised the role of the Special Envoy is to act as a buffer between his office and RAMSI.

Mr Sogavare says all SIG-RAMSI consultations and dialogue will be done by the Special Envoy and that he will only be receiving reports on what transpired from those meetings.
