There has been a major set-back for the Fiji Cricket side that will compete in the Division Three World Cup qualifying matches in Darwin, Australia this week.

Three players, who are with the Fiji Military Forces, have been denied

visas to travel to Australia.

But Team Manager, Seci Sekinini, says their absence will not affect the

quest to advance to the second stage of the qualifiers in November

New South Wales Cricket Development Officer, Steve Mulally, will stand in

as care-taker coach in Darwin

Fiji will face Papua New Guinea in the first pool game next Sunday with

other pool matches against Italy and Argentina.

The two finalists at the tournament will qualify for the Division Two

World Cup qualifiers in Namibia.
