There has been a major set-back for the Fiji Cricket side that will compete in the Division Three World Cup qualifying matches in Darwin, Australia this week.
Three players, who are with the Fiji Military Forces, have been denied
visas to travel to Australia.
But Team Manager, Seci Sekinini, says their absence will not affect the
quest to advance to the second stage of the qualifiers in November
New South Wales Cricket Development Officer, Steve Mulally, will stand in
as care-taker coach in Darwin
Fiji will face Papua New Guinea in the first pool game next Sunday with
other pool matches against Italy and Argentina.
The two finalists at the tournament will qualify for the Division Two
World Cup qualifiers in Namibia.
