Fiji's South Pacific Games men's sprint champion - John Lum Kon will not be in Samoa in August to defend his blue ribbon 100 meters gold medal.

Lum Kon has failed to make the qualifying times and is in the reserve list.

Fiji will unveil a new 100 meters sensation 19-year old, Ioane Dovumatua, in Apia.

Evergreen sprinter, Jone Delai, who won gold in 1995 in Tahiti, has also made the cut and will perhaps run his last race for Fiji in Samoa.

South Pacific sprint queen, Makelesi Bulikiobo, has made the Fijian side and she will defend the gold medal.
