Telikom Papua New Guinea has been told to stop worrying about competition from two new mobile phone companies.

The Independent Consumer and Competition Commission or ICCC made the comment after Telikom's chief executive Peter Loko said an impeding competition would result in the company losing millions of kina.

Mr Loko alleged that the new mobile companies - Digicel and Greencom - would be investing their profits outside the country.

The Post Courier newspaper reports the ICCC ruled that allegation as baseless.
