Two businessmen from Nausori in Fiji have been charged in connection with the killing of a Nadi jeweller last year.

The Chief investigator of Fiji's Independent Commission Against Corruption, Nasir Ali, told the Fijilive news site that the two have been charged with conspiracy to commit murder and accessory after the fact to murder.

He said there would also be ongoing investigations into the police's role in the investigation as he said there was evidence that CID officers were not doing their job.

He said there had been a lack of action over the case.
