3:06 pm on 4 June 2007

Three Indian nationals who are businessmen in Fiji have appeared in the Suva magistrate's court charged with several offences for the murder of a Nadi jeweller, Kamlesh Nandha, outside his home in September last year.

The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption brought the charges against Manoj Kumar Khera, Sanjay Khera and Prakash Karana after uncovering evidence in the course of its investigations into the three for corruptly obtaining Fiji passports.

Magistrate Artuna Prasad has remanded the men in custody and ordered the case to be transferred to the Nadi magistrate's court where another suspect is facing murder charges in relation to the death of the same man.

The case will be called in Nadi tomorrow morning.
