Two senior police officers and a senior army officer have been shortlisted for interviews for the post of Commissioner of the Fiji Police Force.

The Fijilive news site says the deputy army commander Captain Esala Teleni, Tuikacivi Mateiwai and the acting police commissioner, Romanu Tikotikoca, have been called in for the interviews by the Constitutional Offices Commission.

Captain Teleni is also the head of the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption.

The post was left vacant by Andrew Hughes of Australia who left Fiji shortly before the December military coup.
