Samoa finishes third in Pacific Nations Rugby Cup

Samoa has powered into third place in the Pacific Nations Cup with a 50-3 win against Tonga in Apia.

While the Junior All Blacks sealed a clean sweep with a 51-3 win against Japan and finished 9 points clear of Australia A Samoa proved itself the best of the island sides.

In Brian Lima's last test, his 62nd, Samoa led 29-3 at half time.

Fiji, who drew 14 all with Australia A on Saturday in Suva, finished 4th with Tonga 5th.

Samoa scored three wins and two losses in the tournament while Tonga finished in fifth place with a win and four losses.
