Fiji's Bodybuilding and Powerlifting Associations have been ordered to trim their South Pacific Games teams following the defaulting of levy payments to the Fiji Association of Sports and National Olympic Committee.

The Executive Board FASANOC has directed the two sports to reduce numbers down to the level of payments made.

FASANOC President, Vidhya Lakhan, says bodybuilding had only paid enough money to cater for two members and powerlifting on the other hand had paid for only six members.

As a result bodybuilding will reduce team numbers from six to two and powerlifting has been requested to shrink its team of 15 down to 12.

Fiji had ear marked to send a team of 541 athletes and officials to Samoa but it currently stands at 477.
