Blood donations slow in Solomon Islands

The General Secretary of Solomon Islands Red Cross, Charles Kelly says the supply of blood donors in the country needs to be increased.

During a speech at the International Blood Donor Day celebrations in Honiara, Mr Kelly said culturally Solomon Islanders prefer blood from their relatives which is a good practice but this has to change and he encouraged everyone to give blood in case of major emergencies.
