A long court battle over the ownership of a major coffee plantation in the Papua New Guinea Western Highlands has been dismissed by the Supreme Court.

Landowner groups who made an appeal over the acquisition of Koban Plantation by the Ok Corporation, another coffee plantation in the same area, was dismissed by the court in Port Moresby.

The Ok Corporation now has 100-percent ownership of Koban Plantation, which is a major revenue earner of over 100 million kina, or over 14 million US dollars, annually from its export of green bean coffee.

The Post Courier reports the case regarding the purchase of Koban Plantation was first filed in 1998.
