1:21 pm on 20 July 2007

The Supreme Court in Samoa has delayed sentencing of a defendant charged with the possession of cocaine until a hearing on the disputed part of the police summary of facts is heard.

The court has heard that defense lawyer, Tole'afoa Solomona To'ailoa, is disputing the amount of cocaine the police said was found in the possession of the defendant, Joe Lafaele Faulkner or Joe Palagi.

The hearing has been adjourned to September 24.

The defendant has pleaded guilty to charges of possession of narcotics and unlawful weapons.
