Former Fiji football captain and Australia based striker Esala Masi will not play for Fiji at the Pacific Games in Samoa.
Fijian team coach, Carlos Buzzetti, has confirmed that Masi is nursing a knee injury that has set his recovery time to an indefinite period.
Masi had joined the Fijian team camp in Ba but injured his knee last week during a training run.
He is definitely ruled out for the two games against the All Whites this weekend.
Meanwhile all other overseas based players arrived in the country last night and joined the squad in their training session early this morning.
Buzzetti will use the matches against the All Whites to select his 20-man team for the Samoa games.
