Lamb flap vendors in PNG threaten legal action

10:57 am on 8 August 2007

Lamb flap vendors in Papua New Guinea have threatened legal action against a local supplier over what they have called an unexpected increase in the price of lamb flaps.

A group of vendors claimed that initially the price for a 20 kilogram carton of lamb flaps at Ling's Freezer in Port Moresby was 42 U.S. dollars but it has now increased to almost 55 dollars.

The National reports vendors are calling on price controllers to check the new price, as they want to know if it has been illegally raised.
