A Fiji trade unionist in the spotlight recently has lodged a complaint against a senior minister in the interim administration for a range of offences including alleged abuse of office.

Fiji TV reports that Taniela Tabu has lodged his complaint with the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption and the police as well as the Prime Minister's Office.

Mr Tabu says he is calling on the interim prime minister to do justice to the country and also comply with the law.

He says the prime minister expects the people to respect the law and that respect should begin from above.

Mr Tabu has not disclosed the name of the interim government minister nor the nature of his evidence.

But he says he has given the evidence and it is up to the authorities to carry out the investigations and act accordingly.
