The Bank of Papua New Guinea posted a 38-point-16 US dollars profit last year, the highest ever for the bank.
The Bank's Governor Wilson Kamit presented the first dividend payment of 11 million US dollars to outgoing Treasury Minister Sir Rabbie Namaliu.
Sir Rabbie told The National that last year's outstanding performance complemented good export revenues that had resulted in a record-level of foreign exchange reserves, a stable currency and the low inflation rate.
