Taiwan to import PNG organic coffee

A Taiwan-based coffee dealer has struck a deal with PNG Coffee Growers Federation to import Papua New Guinea's organic coffee.

The National reports Tsao Tsun Lee has just placed orders with the Federation after a recent visit to PNG.

The orders to supply organic coffee to companies in Taiwan and Shanghai, China, is due to begin before the end of the year.

Coffee Federation chairman Jon Yogiyo said Mr Lee, a major coffee dealer in Asia, visited coffee farmers in Eastern Highlands and Morobe provinces last month.
