New Caledonia has begun today at the top of the South Pacific Games medal table.
Yesterday it won seven gold medals - five of them in the pool - to take its total to 38 medals, twelve of them gold.
In second place is Papua New Guinea with a tally of 21 medals, eleven of them gold.
Fiji are now third with 10 gold and seventeen other medals.
Hosts Samoa had a good day yesterday and are now 5th on the medal table with 16 medals, including 6 gold.
