Fiji's deposed Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase says he expects to be able to travel to Suva either tomorrow or Saturday.

He wants to be in Suva for a challenge to the legality of the military overthrow of his government.

Earlier this week he reported he had received deaths threats if he returned to the capital while the only airline serving his island has been asked by the military not to fly him there.

But this evening Mr Qarase said travel arrangements had been sorted and he expected to go tomorrow or the next day.
