Netball silver medallists face tough start to the Games finals

The Papua New Guinea netballers are ruing lost chances following their defeat at the hands of Samoa 51-46 on day three of the South Pacific Games

As expected the top guns top seed Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Cook Islands and Samoa are through to the top four playoffs to begin after today's rest day

But after suffering the defeat, PNG, silver medallists four years ago,must now face defending champs, Fiji, in the first round of finals.

The captain of the PNG Peppers captain Mona Lisa Leka says the loss is disappointing as they targeted Samoa as a must win

In the other top four playoff Samoa will take on the Cook Islands who were crushed 68-32 by Fiji.

In the other play off games the Solomon Islands will take on Vanuatu and the Norfolk Islands will match up against Tokelau
