The South Pacific Games being held in Samoa, coupled with the three-day Labour Day weekend has kept the three airlines serving the inter Samoa route busy.

Personnel at Polynesian Airlines, South Pacific Express and Inter Island Airways all say flights have been full throughout last week, with some extra flights added to accommodate travellers.

Today, which is Labour Day holiday in American Samoa and the rest of the United States, the three airlines are adding extra flights to bring travelers back from Samoa.

Airlines officials say they had been adding flights when the need arises and are also prepared to add extra flights this week heading into the weekend, and the closing of the South Pacific Games.
